Lightbox
Lightbox is a resource which has over 1000 non-fiction interactive books. You can get to Lightbox by logging into your Destiny account.
In Destiny Discover scroll down until you see the blue Lightbox book. Click on the book to open up many different books. Once you open a book you can explore videos, timelines, google maps, and much more!
Sora​

Sora is the reading app used for borrowing digital and audio books. To use Sora you must first follow the steps below.
1. Install the Sora app from self-service on your iPad.
2. Follow the prompt to find your school district and add. Then go to the three lines at the right corner and add library with a + sign. Then put in 64155 and choose Mid-continent on North Oak.
3. Use the electronic school MCPL card or your own card to login.
Destiny Card Catalog

Destiny is the Website used to look up books at New Mark, put books on hold and use the NKC Schools databases. You must follow the directions below to login for these services.
1. Click Destiny button above
2. Click New Mark Middle School
3. In upper right hand corner click LOGIN
4. Type lunch # (student id)
5 Password is your birthday (ex. 01162005)
Research Resources
NoodleTools Cite Sources​

NoodleTools is the Website we use to cite our sources when doing research and other projects. Click on the icon above to go to the Website. If you are registered you may login with your lunch # and birthday.

To create a New Project
1. Click on New Project.
2. Enter the description for your project.
3. Click submit.

To create the Citation for your Project
1. Click on your project.
2. Click on the green button that says New Source.
3. Tap on on database or website.
4. Fill in all boxes.
4. Click on save button.

Annotation -is to inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy and quality of the sources cited. Should include the citation, short summary, and your personal thoughts regarding the source (100-150 words).
Mid-Continent Databases

To use the MCPL databases you must have a library number or card. You can use the school number (nkclunch#) or your own personal card number. If you click on the icon above it will take you to the Website then follow the steps below to find the databases.

1. Click on RESEARCH & LEARNING
2. Locate the A-Z list tab and then choose a database.
3. Once you choose, it will ask for your library card number and last name.
NKC Schools Databases
​
NKC schools databases are located within the Destiny card catalog. You must login to Destiny in order to use them. Click on the icon above to take you to the Destiny Website then follow the steps below.
1. Login to Destiny (lunch #/birthday)
2. On the HOME tab find Online Resources heading.
3. Choose the database you would like to use.
